Following the release of Tsutsuji Higa’s trailer, the official channels for Food for the Soul have dropped a new character video—this time focusing on the quiet but lovable Nana Hoshi, voiced by Saya Aizawa (Taisho Otome Fairy Tale).
📚 About the Series & Manga
Food for the Soul is an original anime series with characters designed by Non Non Biyori creator Atto. It tells the story of Mako, a shy university freshman who finds comfort in cooking and forms new friendships through her college’s Food Culture Research Club.
The anime launched in April 2025, accompanied by a manga adaptation drawn by Quro (Koisuru Asteroid), which began serialization on Comic Alive+ in March 2025. The series combines food, friendship, and slice-of-life warmth into one satisfying dish.
🎤 Meet Nana Hoshi
Nana is a fellow club member and classmate of Tsutsuji. Though she appears outwardly composed, she’s incredibly shy around others. Her real personality—cheerful and caring—only shines once she feels safe in her circle of friends.
Saya Aizawa voices the character with subtle nuance, capturing Nana’s inner warmth and social hesitance.
🧂 A Tasty Blend of Heart and Humor
Set in a modern university environment, Food for the Soul explores how shared meals can bring people closer together. Whether it’s experimenting with miso soup or just enjoying onigiri between classes, the anime celebrates small joys and emotional growth through everyday experiences.
Expect quiet laughs, soft music, and cozy storytelling reminiscent of Non Non Biyori and Slow Loop.
