🎲 Anime Adaptation Officially Announced
The team behind Comic Ride, Micro Magazine’s web manga platform, revealed that Gacha Girls Corps (Japanese title: Gachi wo Mawashite Nakama wo Fuyasu: Saikyō no Bishōjo Gundan wo Tsukuriagero) is officially getting an anime adaptation. The announcement appeared on the wraparound band of the latest manga volume released on Thursday.
📚 From Light Novel to Screen
Originally written by Chinkururi and illustrated by Yasutaka Isegawa, the light novel first debuted on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō platform in January 2016. Micro Magazine picked up the series for physical publication later that year under its GC Novels imprint. The story wrapped up with its ninth volume in 2020.
🖊️ Manga Adaptation Continues Strong
The manga version, adapted by Syū Haruno, began serialization in Comic Ride in 2018. On the same day the anime was announced, its 12th compiled volume hit shelves in Japan. English-language readers can enjoy the series via Kaiten Books, which currently handles the official localization.
🎮 Gacha Girls & Overpowered Heroines
At the heart of Gacha Girls Corps is Heihachi, an ordinary mobile game addict who gets sucked into another world after using a mysterious gacha pull. Stranded and under attack, he turns to what he knows best—rolling gacha! To his shock, the characters actually come to life.
What follows is a hilarious and action-packed quest to collect OP UR QTs (Overpowered Ultra Rare Cuties), including the standout warrior girl Norl. The story blends gacha mechanics with isekai mayhem in a wild ride that pokes fun at and pays homage to otaku gaming culture.
📅 No Release Date Yet
While the anime adaptation has been confirmed, further details—including the animation studio, cast, staff, and premiere window—have not yet been revealed.
🥳 A Cult Favorite Finally Animated
Fans of isekai comedies and gacha parody can finally look forward to seeing their favorite waifus in motion. With over a dozen manga volumes and a completed light novel series behind it, Gacha Girls Corps is more than ready for its screen debut.
